It started with a cello.
Andrew picked up the cello at nine and was writing his own pieces not long after. In middle school he found out that writing music for movies was an actual job, and that was that.
Since then he has scored feature films, video games and live shows, with collaborators from Los Angeles to China. He is most at home in fantasy and animation, where the music gets to be as big as the story.
He teaches composition at Andrews University in Michigan, where he also coaches the acrobatic gymnastics team. Different kind of timing; same discipline.
